At some point yesterday, the great @fillmoe4life retweeted this picture. At first glance, I thought that this picture had been enhanced with Photoshop.

The soundtrack of the first 16 years of my life is replete with the rhythms of black music. From listening to Teddy Pendergrass and the Gap Band in my father's car, up through gleefully absorbing the nihilistic musings of N.W.A, the music of my youth was decidedly urban. That influence was altered forever one April night in 1992. I was over Neil Fleischer's house and Saturday Night Live was on. The musical guest was Pearl Jam and they sang "Alive."

But the President is black....
Why do black people always see race in everything? Why are black people so sensitive?
I hear these questions quite often. Firstly, let me say we all see color. People that say they don't are blatantly lying. Otherwise they might say something like, "the gentleman with the big lips and wide nose, who made painstaking efforts to match his colorful outfit with his flourescent Yankees hat always makes comments about race." and not "black people." But there's a lot of reasons why black folks are justifiably sensitive about race.

Friday, July 17, 2009 at 10:43AM I don't like Follow Friday. I thought it was cool at first, but now it's just an unbearable burden. Its stated purpose is noble because when you get on twitter the first thing you do is say "I want to get as many followers as possible." I get it. I love attention and the number of followers you have is your own little slice of celebrity. In theory, FF sounds like a great idea and once people started shouting me out I'd do the whole schtick of typing all the people I followed and putting their names out there to follow in return.
That was cool when I only had like 10 people I followed. Besides the fact that I just don't feel like taking the time to painstakingly look at my follow list and then type it all out 140 characters at a time is the fact that Follow Friday doesn't work like it's intended.

For the past year, I've been reevaluating my definition of whore. I decided to blog about the topic a while back but yesterday at 7:40 PM I received this text:
"What was that one whore's name that used to suck y'all off all the time?"
So I decided now would be a good time to blog about the subject. First I'd like to tell a story that speaks to how girls rarely see themselves as whores even in what would seem to be the most whorish of acts. But again, I don't really know what a whore is. So I'll let you decide if this girl is a whore.
The "whore" my friend asked me about was named Ashley and she gives the best blowjobs this side of Karrine Steffans. Let me tell you how I met Ashley.

Monday, July 13, 2009 at 12:20PM This pic displays the strand of hair dangling over the eyes of a doe, a deer, a female deer. Skin that looks like it was bathed in buttermilk. Breasts that look like tasty mounds of butter that you could spread on your hotcakes and sausage. Straight teeth, bubble gum lips. If this was my girlfriend I would chain her in the basement.

When I got on Twitter my friends were like "Follow Diddy and Shaq." I refused to follow Diddy, but of course Shaq was hilarious and worth following. I eventually relented and started to follow Diddy and after a day of his ghetto Stuart Smalley/TD Jakes tweets couldn't take it. So today I woke up and saw #unfollowdiddy trending on Twitter and dusted off this post I had been working on since i started blogging. My offering to #unfollowdiddy was "#unfollowdiddy because he should have taken that bullet for Biggie"

Brock Lesnar's post fight comments after UFC 100 were incredible. I count myself among the mindless throng of fans who has watched wrestling over the last 25 years. I had forgotten how much of a monster bully Brock Lesnar was on WWE TV. These are my favorite examples of Brock Lesnar bullying the weak.
